Geocache Description:

DO NOT FIND THIS CACHE!!!

Are you a Geocache Addict???? This cache will help determine if you are...

There are a number of similar hides to this one and I was feeling uninspired today so I decided to plagiarize someone else's idea. Looking at the GC.com site, there are so many of these caches in the world, I figured one more couldn't hurt. And if, as I hope, no-one bothers to look for it, then I won't have to worry about maintaining it either.

Credit where credit is due though: I originally got this idea from Bucketeer when I was passing through Mt Gambier earlier in the year. And if I had to guess, he probably got it from someone else too.

But what's special about this particular cache? Nothing. Not a thing. There is nothing special or unique about this idea or its implementation. There are no breathtaking views and no scenery of any significance. And there isn't even a unique "one of a kind" handmade container at the end. If I've thought of it, then someone else thought of it long before me.

Even some of the text in this description has been taken from other similar geocaches. If you came here by accident, then I am sure that you will have no problem ignoring this cache and continuing on to find a better, more worthwhile, one.

As at the time of this listing, there were 2,404,276 active geocaches.

While there is the possibility that a number of these might be lamer than this one, I'd warrant there are still at least 2.4 million one out there that are more interesting than this one.

I thought I'd copy the whole "You might be addicted to geocaching when..." routine that are common to the other caches I've plagiarized this idea from, but figured that if (as I hope) you don't look for this cache, I will save myself the time and effort too.

Do you have a problem with Geocaching? Only you can answer that.

But my advice is this. Just don't find it. Don't even look for it. Just log a DNF from your smartphone and carry on and keep looking for better caches. If you can drive within one kilometre of this location and are able to pass it by, even better. Please share your success story by writing a log below. As is usual practice, if you do succumb to temptation, remember you have to sign the log to claim a valid smiley, so before you sign the log sheet ask yourself: Do I really need one more find? This cache is your chance to prove to the world at large that you are not addicted to geocaching.

If you absolutely HAVE to find the cache, please do ensure you replace it exactly as you found it.

Additional Hints (Decrypt)

[It's an eclipse mint tin hidden behind a guard rail. Do you really need to find one more of those? And no, there is no pen for you to sign with, because I am hoping that will help steel your resolve not to even look for it.]
