Beatrix Kiddo, a.k.a. The Bride (portrayed by Uma Thurman), is the protagonist of the film. She abandons her life as a hired assassin for the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad (DVAS) upon realizing she is pregnant with Bill's child, denying him the right of fatherhood to preserve her unborn's future. This action provokes the attacks on her and her loved ones and its ensuing revenge, which is the entire basis of the film. Her code name while working for DVAS was Black Mamba.
Driving Instructions--Drive South from Hurricane on 700 W. (Airport Road). The road turns to dirt soon after passing Sky Ranch. A few miles down the dirt road there is a major fork--stay left. You will need something that can drive on rocky roads and has some clearance. A jeep, ATV, truck, or high-clearance SUV. The road is very rough around the entrance to the Honeymoon Trail and crossing Fort Pierce Wash is an adventure in dry conditions. If there is a threat of flash flooding, forget it.
This is the desert! It gets very hot out here in the summer. Bring more water than you think you will need and make sure someone knows where you are going. I had cell coverage out here, so I think you will be able to call for help. Also, watch for snakes and other critters.
