Geocache Description:

This cache brings you to the Sheppartons off leash dog park. Created by the Greater Shepparton Council for the health and well being of dogs in the local area. Situated in Ducat reserve it was decided as a great use of a reserve located in a spill drain, that has become unusable for recreational use during the colder months, mostly due to the poor drainage. The fencing is only temporary but will hopefully see a more permanent structure as time goes on. It's a great chance for dogs to mingle and get much needed exercise.

There is no cost for entry, you might want to bring you canine pal along on this one as a disguise from the local muggles. The park tends to be busier on evenings and weekends. The rules for the park are outlined on the gate, and I encourage you to follow them and be a good sport if you bring your furry friend

  • Keep your dog under effective control

  • ensure your dog is wearing its current registration tag

  • supervise children carefully around dogs

  • children under 16 must be supervised by an adult

  • one adult should supervise no more than two dogs

  • remove your dog if it becomes aggressive

  • owners must clean up after their dogs

  • no smoking
