My first geocaches
I have been for walks around these woods many times with the dogs. Previously there have been a couple of geocaches here but sadly they have gone so I thought it was about time some more were placed. This local nature reserve is an area of beauty with plenty of parking near the start of the series or up the other end of the woods where you can also give Church Micro 447- "St Leonards On Sea" a try.
These woods have established paths however some can become uneven, wet and muddy with some steps and slopes. With this in mind I have made the Terrain rating for the whole series based on this. It is wise to wear suitable footwear (I never take my own advice though!) and some caches are small and require tweezers or something similar to remove the logs. I live local so please let me know of any problems and I will aim to get it rectified asap.
I hope you enjoy this stroll with a mixture of cache types and difficulties.
All caches are placed with the kind permission of the Hastings Borough Council Environmental Services Manager.
Cache
Suz's stroll number 3 is smaller than a micro containing only a log that may require tweezers.
Please be careful when replacing this cache to ensure it is secure and camoflaged with its surroundings.
