The actual cache is not at the posted coordinates. To find it, you will have to explore the cemetery and use the provided photographic clues to solve a puzzle and reveal the final coordinates. The final cache is within the bounds of cemetery. Please bring your own writing instrument and some paper for the calculations.

This historic cemetery, also known as the "Islington Pioneer Cemetery" was established in 1835. Buried here are some of the original settlers to this area, formerly known as the Town of Islington. Thomas and Margaret Montgomery owners of the historic Montgomery's Inn, located just east of this location are interred here. Two rows of Austrian pines planted by their grand daughter in 1910 line the cemetery path. Other old Islington family names represented include, Johnston, Newloves, Dunns, Porritts, Shavers, Wards.

To find the final coordinates, you must locate each of the gravestones represented in the photos below. At each marker, you must solve the mathematical equation below the photo and substitute your answers for the letters A-J to reveal the coordinates of the physical cache.

This is the earliest marker in the cemetery with 1824 being the year of pioneer George Johnston's death. He and his wife Mary were the first permanent settlers, arriving in Islington around 1808. They lived in a log cabin on 100 acres with their 9 children three of whom fought in and survived the war of 1812. Four heritage Johnson homes built between 1862 and 1903 still stand, three on Kipling Avenue and one on Burnhamthorpe Road.
