Geocache Description:

You are looking for a bison tube. It should be an easy park n' grab. The cache contains only a log. Please bring your own writing instrument. There is parking at two nearby lots just off of Plains Rd.

On the day I placed this cache, DBC - a long-time co-worker of mine was laid to rest in the mausoleum. Ground Zero overlooks her final resting spot. I placed this cache so that it may watch over her, and to remember her. If you've lost someone important to you - we all have at some point - I encourage you to take a moment to remember them and what they meant to you as you make this easy find.  The bison tube is blue because DBC was a Toronto Maple Leafs fan.

A couple of other incidental facts about this location that I did not know prior to placing this hide:

1) This location is part Burlington's waterfront trail and you can review a map of it at GZ

2) There is a small monument here marking the 15 mile point of the original Hamilton Herald 'Around the Bay Road Race' which was first run on Christmas Day 1894. It's the oldest road running race in North America and is one I participate in every year. The race still runs by this spot today, but it is the 24km (14 mile) point of a 30km (18 mile) race.
