The Wisconsin River originates in the forest of northern Wisconsin and empties into the Mississippi. It once was a major trade route for everything. Now it is 430 miles of recreation.
While kayaking down the Wisconsin river we have passed this island a few times. Often there is a camp of party animals just soaking up the sun and fun. Yesterday we had the river to ourselves and the island was empty. Good time to place a cache!
