One of the most recent changes would be the building of the assembly plant and headquarters of a well-known prestige car builder. The building of the plant started to take shape early 2000 at a cost of £63m. Designed by world-renowned architect, Sir Nicholas Grimshaw, the facility was designed to sit 'sympathetically within the natural beauty of its setting'. The plant became active on 1st January 2003.
Sir Henry Royce lived less that 10 miles away from the current plant in West Wittering between 1917 and 1933. During this time ill-health forced him to move away from Derby where the company was then based.
The cache is micro-sized magnetic and is placed so that it cannot be seen from any angle. Please place back as found as this is a high muggle area. This is mainly because locals walk past this location to gain access to the public footpath that runs alongside the plant as a short cut to the small village of Westerton - worth a walk if you have time.
There is also public access from this footpath into the grounds of the facility so you can have a closer look. They also have a lake! Don't clumb over into the facility from these public areas as security is understandably tight.
