Fillmore Stash Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Hemlock: I have been looking at caches in the area that have been temporarily disabled for a long time and it looks like this cache has been under the weather for over 6 months. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time I don’t think we can do so any longer. Therefore, I have archived this cache.

When this cache is repaired or replaced, just email me at hemlock@geocachingadmin.com or go to your cache page and email me via the link to my profile on the archive log. Please be sure to include the cache name and GC# or better yet, the URL of the cache page.

I will be more than happy to take a look at your cache again to see if it is still is within the guidelines for cache placement and posting. If it looks good, it will then be un-archived.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.

Thanks for your understanding,
Hemlock - Geocaching.com Admin

Geocache Description:

IT HAS BEEN PLUNDERED! I live in NYC right now but will try to recreate it during my next visit. The cache is located in a favorite park of local San Franciscans. It is a beautiful location, which is easy to walk and well located, yet the cache is very well hidden.

During my cache finding wanderings, I have always found beautiful locales. However, as my stomach often growls, I noticed each locale has not been hunger friendly. This cache has been specifically chosen to be nearby a famous street, eating establishments and a fun place to walk - Fillmore Street.
If you're looking for coffee, go to Coffee Bean - the originators of the ice blended. If you want home made Italian pasta, walk to Jackson-Fillmore. If you want tasty Mexican, go to La Posada. Furthermore, Japan Town is a few blocks away South.
For tourists, the Pacific Heights area is often toured to display some of San Francisco’s original/historic and most stereotypical houses. For example, on Sacramento across from the park, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle once presided.

Onto the cache: this cache is well hidden within a great park. The park is often traversed and on Fridays and weekends it is packed with sunbathers. While you are here bring a blanket and a Frisbee and enjoy the area.
I am a non-GPS cache finder; i.e. I have found each cache using the hints provided and lots of time. The coordinates have been created to the best of my ability without a GPS and using the topographic maps, but they are not precise. Sorry...
My hint: look under a green colored place, which gardeners often utilize.

As always, please be careful when uncovering and re-hiding the cache.

Contents:
- Logbook and pen
- Cool colored mechanical pencil
- Dinosaur toys
- Sky diver toys
- Ring Pop
- Jacks

Good luck!

PS If anyone has any pics of the area, I would love to put them up. There are some nice views near by and some cool homes.
