Geocache Description:

Come visit the G shaft of the historic Pabst iron mine. The Pabst Mine opened in 1885. The G shaft was dug in 1904. The Pabst Mine consolidated with other local iron mines in 1935, becoming the Penokee Mine, which closed in 1962. Today the site is a part of Miners Memorial Heritage Park, a 167-acre forested park within the City of Ironwood.
