The Forest was named to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of King George V and Queen Mary. Fallow deer are common here. The chalky soil supports a prolific flower population including Wild Thyme, Bird's Foot Trefoil and numerous butterflies, such as Dingy Skipper and Brown Argus. This area is a favourite place for us to visit. The trail of 9 caches is a circuit of approx 6 miles. Nothing overly challenging and some mixed sizes of caches. On setting all caches are BYOP and the larger ones have a selection of trinkets to swap. Walk, cycle or even bring your horse. All caches are placed in accordance with FC and GAGB guidelines.
I do hope you enjoy your time in this less visited forest. ๐๐ Congratulations cannonfodder32 FTF ๐๐
