(Of African origin) 1. A pinnacle, or
odd-shaped rock left standing by the forces of
erosion.
We were on a ski vacation in southern Utah
when we decided to take a break from the skiing to visit nearby
Bryce Canyon National Park. While hiking one of its
many trails, we came across the beautiful view pictured in the
photo. Since we had a GPS with us, we decided to make this
view a virtual cache. The walk to the cache is about a ¼ mile
down a scenic trail that offers a variety of unusual and stunning
vistas. The coordinates listed above will take you to a small
wooden marker that is adjacent to the trail. In order to post
this cache as a "find", please email me the number that
appears on the marker. Please do not post your answer
as part of your visit report, even if encrypted.
As with most national parks, there is a $25.00
entrance fee, so I hope your visit is not solely for caching
purposes. You might also want to check out the Code Red cache that is located in
another beautiful canyon just outside of Bryce Canyon National
Park.
