Geocache Description:

The cache is not a normal container. I've taken you to a very well hidden green space called Davis Park. Most people haven't heard of it, unless they live/work locally. (Or unless they have a dog - your main obstacle here are dog walkers).

Davis Park

For my cache descriptions I tend to like to convey some history of the cache location, with maybe an old image or two, but this location has proven itself to be a bit beyond my researching skills!

The online world does not have much to offer, apart from a vague description of the surroundings you see before you, but nothing else of interest. I did get some reminiscences from those who grew up locally, via social media. Apparently the park used to be larger, before the space was taken for the fitness centre, on the other side of the tennis courts. There was a fountain, which one respondent lost some teeth on. Others also remembered using the tennis courts during school.

Do YOU have any memories/information about the park?
