This cache is located in a somewhat neglected park. After I placed a cache at this park, the CO of a nearby cache noted in his log that at least this secluded area was being used by geocachers so I decided to find a spot for another one. Now for what’s in name. When I had one of my other hides go missing, a fellow geocacher left what they labeled a ‘Volunteer Cache’ in its place. When I replaced it with a twin to the original container, I put it in my cachebox with the intention of finding it a good home. When I picked this spot I thought to myself, this would be a great fit for the ‘Volunteer Cache’. I added a new golf pencil and some camo tape to the head and shoulders but the rest of the cache is original including the log. I know I haven’t seen a camo combination like that before, how about you? Update 4/15/15 changed the container to a slightly smaller, more traditionally camouflaged and weather resistant cache located in the same spot. Update 1/7/16 The cache container has been changed again and is no longer in the woods, yet. Thanks to purplemartinlandlord for supplying the original container.
