This cache is placed at the junction of Highway 5 and St. Gertrude Road. South of this corner there is still the St. Gertrude Church which has now been converted in to a hall for the rural pepole in the area. Dances and other events still take place there. There used to be a school close to the Hall.
As well, NHLer Ralph Klassen grew up very close to the Church site. He played 497 games from 1975 - 1983 in the NHL with California Golden Seals, Cleveland Barons, Colorado Rockies, and St. Louis Blues.
