Lush Veitch Creek valley and short cut to Sugarloaf Mtn trail
The cache is in a double trunk maple tree in a grove of cedar trees by the creek. The valley, where the aquaduct crossed Veitch Creek, has the sights and smells of a lush cedar forest with the sounds of a babbling brook for most of the year. The geocache is on a trail that is a shortcut to the Sugarloaf Mtn trail.
To get there from the trail head, take the aquaduct to Veitch creek and take a side trail. The reference point is an easy place to leave the side trail and cross the creek to the geocache. From here there is a nice trail upstream to the trail leading to Sugarloaf Mtn.
