First Saturday Arts Market is a monthly outdoor fine arts event featuring the works of dozens of visual artists. Located in the Historic Houston Heights by Gen’s Antiques at 548 W. 19th St. at Lawrence St., the market showcases paintings, sculpture, photography, jewelry and handcrafted items. Bring the entire family and come enjoy the great outdoors, live music and delicious fare from some of the area’s best gourmet food trucks. On the parking lot of Gen's Antiques At 8 pm, Niko Lorraine, a native Houstonian, will take the stage for some live folk music.
"The beauty of the First Saturday Arts Market is the way it brings all of 19th St. to life once a month. All of the business on this bustling block of eclectic and boutique shops put on their glitter and feature something special. Many shops offer free treats or drinks and special sales. Street vendors and artists set up on the sidewalks and H-town's finest of food trucks will likely be cruising by or settling into a nearby empty lot. Sew Crafty often features activities that can inspire the dullest of characters for $5!" - a Yelp reviewer
