I had the honor of presenting Phil with his 1K ammo can. According to the types of caches he likes I decided a nice hike with some adventure and scenery along the way was a proper tribute. This was the area I chose for a couple of my first caches placed. A nice hike along and thru some tributaries that run into the Ashtabula River. This adventure will take you thru a couple hundred foot long old stone and brick tunnel. If water is up you are guaranteed to get a little wet. If its hot and you wanna get wet the enterance to the tunnel is a great waterslide into the pool of water. May want a flashlight for inside the tunnel. Phil has found caches around the world. Including Sweden and China. 1K find was Molly's Ghost GC2M33K Found it 01/08/2012. This was his log. 1K! Alex and I had to get out of the house this afternoon. Too nice to be inside. Travis is not around right now to celebrate his birthday and I was too close to the 1K to not take advantage of the weather. This is a cool park! We ended up going to a program about it's history later in the week. Interesting and nice setting lit by a full moon. Congrats on your 1K Phil Happy Caching!
