Geocache Description:

A quick little hike in the Hurstville Pond area for one of my favorite containers.

Permission to place this geocache granted by

Daryl Parker, Executive Director, Jackson County Conservation Board.

This geocache is not at the posted coordinates.  Those coords will take you to the parking lot at the Hurstville Pond.  It would be a good spot for you to park your vehicle in anticipation of your hike to this cache.  I've hidden a small peanut butter jar in a discreet location for you to find.  It has room inside for a few swag items for the kids as well as a log sheet and scribbler.  Please feel free to use a couple lines to add your signature and the date you found the geocache (I know the lines on the paper tend to be rather narrow).  There is a path you can follow for about half the hike.  The rest of the way is going to be grassy during the summer months.  The pond is available to fish.  If you have a license and the inclination, you can "wet a line" and try your luck.  The pond is open for activity from 4:30am to 10:30pm.  Please stay within the fenced area. Step carefully as you go and enjoy this truly beautiful area!
