We chose this spot because we had been geocaching on this road the day before and noticed it as we went UP the mountain. We all thought it would be a perfect hiding spot and provides a "value-added" smiley between established caches. We enjoyed the Canyon Mountain Trail cache so much that we hope others will take the time to visit there and hope that this will give extra incentive to keep climbing. It is located near one of the Canyon Mountain Trail 218 signs, where a secondary road connects to the main road.
The cache is in a large Danish cookie tin(NEW CONTAINER 2024)that has been painted black. In addition to the log and writing utensils in a ziploc bag, there is a good starter stash of toys and other non-toy items. Paper items have been placed together in another ziploc to help keep them dry as well. This is our first hide and we really hope you enjoy it!
