In October of 2009 a group of 40 Kearney Physicians announced plans to build Kearney Regional Medical Center. A four year project included physicians and other investors who overcame a variety of hurdles to arrive at this $22 million project.
The hospital encompasses 58,000 square feet with 5 operating rooms, imaging department with X-Ray, echocardiogram, ultrasound, MRI, CT Scan and interventional radiology, a cardiac/cath lab, endoscopy suite, pharmacy, laboratory, triage room, and four ICU beds, and 20 patient rooms.
Platte Valley Medical Clinic is a 48,000 square foot medical building that adjoins KRMC., currently employing approximately 70 nurses, technicians and other staff.
