Geocache Description:

Archived, the concept proved to be too difficult to explan.

The Cannibals Among Us: A long time ago I was reading an article written by a person who had an interesting hobby. His hobby was photographing cannibalistic ads. Madison Avenue doesn't do all that many ads featuring animals hawking their kin as delicious to eat, though they did ask "Where's The Beef!" Small town America, and greasy spoons though are different. Every now and then you will find a chicken announcing to the world that it's egg's are good to eat, or a pig hawking bacon.

That's what this is all about. Cannibalistic ads. The rules are simple. Photograph a cannibalistic ad, take it's coordinates, and post both on this cache to log your find. Now I want real cannibalism, not cows selling chocolate milk, or pictures of animals as Logo's. You have to find a bona fide ad of some type where the animal is pitching consuming itself in some fashion. For example a horse selling glue made from Triple Crown winners, or chickens selling buffalo wings. Logo's tell you what you are buying. Cannabalistic ads have the animal itself in a caption selling itself, it's kin, or young. Alternatly the animal can be cooking up it's bretheren for you to enjoy. For example a chicken cooking fried chicken. A chicken on the sign of a chiken ranch though is just a logo. The photos should be made for this cache and preferably include you and your GPS(though not required). No internet downloads or old vacation photos please.

Valid finds include Billboards, Signs, Wall Murals, Fibreglass Statues, or any other stationary objet. Radio, TV, and Print ads while certainly entertaining are not valid due to the lack of a fixed location. The usual locationless cache rules apply: one find per 'cacher, each ad can be logged only once. (In the case of chain restaurants the first to find and log a specific ad should be the only one to log that ad - we don't want to see multiple examples of the same ad!)

Actually once you start noticing, (it is rather unnatural) you will be amazed how common it is. I wonder what Freud would say...nevermind, it would involve some sort of envy...

Wouldn't you know it. I spend all this time talking about animals and my the first log is reminiciant of a boxing match with Mike Tyson. So lets make it clear, Animals only, no humans. Thanks and have fun!
