Heartland Cacher: Greetings I'm Heartland Cacher, one of the volunteer reviewers for new caches submitted to Geocaching.com.

I can't find any recent responses from the Cache Owner about maintaining this cache which makes it appear the Cache Owner is either unwilling or unable to maintain the cache. Cache maintenance includes listing maintenance including updating any changes to the text, updating coordinates, removing needs maintenance attributes and enabling the listing. The cache will be archived and removed from the active cache listings.

This is a small cache at a historical marker--part of the NM Historic Women initiative.


Graciela Olivárez (1928-1987), a.k.a.

"Amazing Grace"


Graciela Olivárez was an attorney, public servant, and activist.


She was also the first woman to graduate from Notre Dame Law School , Director of the Arizona Economic Opportunity Office, the first woman on the Board of Directors of the Mexican American Legal Defense Fund, a professor at UNM Law School, a radio program director, a member of the National Advisory Council on Economic Opportunity, an adviser to 3 presidents , Vice-Chair of the President’s Commission on Population and the American Future, the head of Community Services Administration (the federal government’s anti-poverty agency), the highest-ranking woman in the Carter administration, a charter members of the National Organization for Women, a Director of the State Office of Planning for the State of New Mexico, an activist with the American Cancer Society, and the founder of a television company.
