Geocache Description:

You will need your pen and probably tweezers for this cache.

This cache is placed in the bed of the old hydraulic canal. This canal supplied water to the main canal to help maintain water levels, and also was a power source for the paper mill and a mill owned by Ohio's First Governor, Thomas Worthington. This portion of the canal continued southwest up through this alley and cut across Mulberry and 7th Streets diagonally where it continued on to our next cache site.

This is also the old site of the Velvet Ice Cream business. Many folks have great memories of walking down here on a hot humid day and buying a tasty cold treat!
