Geocache Description:

This is a series of hides along the blue trail system to get folks out to hike. These hides will be easy to find but the trail can be tough for some. The terrain rating is high due to areas of the trail itself. These caches will be dedicated to famous people from CT.


Dorothy Stuart Hamill (born July 26, 1956) is an American figure skater. She is the 1976 Olympic champion in ladies' singles and the 1976 World champion. Hamill was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Chalmers and Carol Hamill. Her father was a mechanical engineer. Shortly after her birth, her family moved to the Riverside neighborhood of Greenwich, Connecticut, where Hamill spent the rest of her childhood. The Dorothy Hamill Skating Rink in her hometown of Greenwich, Connecticut is named after her.
