Amanau is the southernmost of the sea tracks in the Alofi area, just past the Pacific Way Bar. There is parking on the grass at the top, and in 2013 you were likely to be greeted here by a three legged cat. The reef is not really suited to walking on, but there is a large pool by the end of the track where you could go for a dip, or to snorkel. If the tide is over the reef you may see large blue parrot fish here, and further offshore there is always the possibility of spotting a whale.
