Geocache Description:

One cache in a series that I am placing along the Ice Age National Scenic Trail in the southern part of Hartman Creek State Park. The intent of these caches is to get you out to a more remote part of HCSP and enjoy a good hike on the IAT while searching for and hopefully finding some new caches.

After placing the Emmons Creek Barrens cache, I decided to place a few more smaller caches along the IAT coming down from HCSP. None of the caches along the trail are hard to find, but the hike out will be a bit farther than usual. This cache is a small camo bison tube located down the trail a bit from where FlatJack went Backpacking. The attached link will give you more info about HCSP and the Ice Age Trail. If you do not wish to follow the IAT south through HCSP, you can park on the side of the road where the trail crosses Emmons Creek Road in the Emmons Creek Fishery Area. Follow the trail north to this and the other caches. Please note that there are designated biking trails in HCSP, but bikes and horses are not allowed on the IAT. Hunters may also be present in these areas during open seasons - please see the attached link for more info. I have placed this cache so that it should be winter friendly if you wish visit during the snowy season - it is quite beautiful here at that time of year.
