Geocache Description:

This event is offered to both novice & experienced geocachers.  Parks & Recreation is hosting this informal presentation in hopes of educating more people about the exciting and enjoyable sport of Geocaching.  After the presentation we will break up into groups combining cachers of varying experiences to find geocaches hidden in the Ward Lake Area.

We will go over the following:

* What is Geocaching * What makes a geocache * How do I find a geocache * What to do after you have found the geocache *

What you will need:

A GPS or a smartphone with the geocaching.com app

It is advised that you log onto geocaching.com and create a free account so you have a geocaching name for the event.

WHEN: July 26th from Noon-2pm (rain or shine)

WHERE: Ward Lake Main Shelter Areas

AGES: All (14 & under with a parent)

For you experienced geocachers - To earn a smiley for this event we need some experienced cachers to help guide the new cachers around the area after the presentation.
