This is a new pull-off and overlook recently completed in early 2014. Located just north of Norfork on Hwy 5 overlooking the North Fork of the White River.
This is the Leonard B. Smith Norfork Overlook, a very nicely constructed overlook that replaces a precarious pull-off and overlook that was just a bit further up the highway. Although we are unaware of any accidents at the previous location, it was only a matter of time before some one pushed their luck just a little too far. A small parking area, walk-out, short trail and railings have all been constructed making this a wonderful spot to stop and enjoy the scenery and view. You are looking for a camouflaged 35mm film cannister repurposed from the old overlook. The Overlook area closes at sunset. While there are railings and warning signs, I feel it necessary to add a word of caution. please seek this cache and use the overlook responsibly and remain in the maintained areas. The cache placement is within the maintained area. We hope you enjoy the hunt and the beautiful view!
