Please remember to do your part to make geocaching fun for everyone. Remember to trade fair--items in this cache should be valued at approximately $1-$2 and should be traded for other items of the same value, or of greater value. Also remember to properly close, lock, and rehide the cache container exactly where you found it. Always make sure that the container is well-covered with sticks, bark, leaves, etc. so that it is well-hidden from the sight of anyone on the trail and doesn't look obvious.
This trail seldom gets used, even in the summer, so I thought I would hide a cache here to encourage campers and park visitors to get out and explore the beautiful forest
The park ranger has informed me that this trail and both trail-heads are open year-round (day use only) and cachers are welcome to walk past the campground's yellow gate when it is closed. Parking for the western trailhead is at the campground's visitor parking area.
Cache is an ammo can that is filled with lots of items for trading, including some swag that your family might enjoy if you are camping. There is a "Yes 5" game (a generic version of Yahtzee) for the FTF.
Please use appropriate safety precautions while hiking in bear and cougar territory and be respectful of the environment when searching for the cache.
Special thanks to The G-Force and The A-Team for helping to hide this cache.
