KT39.3 Combs Climb Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

meltdiceburg: Although not found for a while, the dnfs are very vague, some people haven't climbed up properly, most seekers have relatively few finds. Remember, it took a group of 30 people twenty minutes to find this when it was first published. The bison was securely zip-tied to the tree but it was tucked around the back so it was out of muggle view or view of anyone else who climbed to the crows nest.

The reviewer note content here is not valid, because there is no needs maintenance, and no-one has suggested there is a problem in the logs.

I strongly suspect it is still there, but the reviewers no longer tolerate difficult finds, they expect the co's to walk out to remote places to check on caches dnfed by inexperienced cachers and I'm sorry, but I don't think it's worth my time to walk out to this one. If the reviewer would like it archived then so be it.

Geocache Description:

This is a small loop of caches you can enjoy whilst taking a circular walk around Combs Reservoir.

Follow the path around the reservoir. When you come to the footbridge you need to cross it to find the cache, which is located in the field on the other side. Once you've found it, return to the reservoir path to continue. The cache is a small plastic tube and is not at ground level.

General conditions: the route includes two roads, one is a main road with a safe pavement. The second is the minor road leading to the village of Combs. This does not have a pavement but is wide enough to be safe to walk along, but do mind out as some vehicles may take advantage of the straight road. You should keep to the path closest to the reservoir the rest of the time, only leaving it to retrieve caches and then returning to the same place. This path is muddy in summer and very muddy in winter, please dress appropriately. You will be rewarded with stunning views of the surrounding hills and the reservoir. The walk will take around an hour, making additional allowances for finding the caches.

This is a busy route. Please take care not to be seen retrieving the hides and please take the time to properly re-hide them before you continue so others many enjoy the walk. Please remember to bring your own writing implement; the logbooks must be signed. Please enjoy the walk!
