I have found that it is usually better to “let sleeping dogs lie” or, upon awakening, they can “cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war”, creating a “dog-eat-dog world”. But there is always some “junkyard dog”, some type of “reservoir dog” trying to put on a “dog and pony show” to “teach an old dog new tricks”. To stay out of the “dog pound”, don’t dish Dahlonega “doggerel” and deliver a diminished cache with “dog eared” log pages. Don’t be that “tail wagging the dog” asking “how much is that doggie in the window?”. Don’t go after new hides like a “dog with a bone”; rather, pretend you’re “walking the dog” and just remember that even though “every dog has its day”, today may not be yours.
For these “dog days of summer” I offer this little “hair of the dog”, which will allow you to hop in and out of your air-conditioned wagon without breaking a sweat.
