CITO around Namhansanseong Fortress Wall
Meeting Time(만나는 시간) : 09:30 - 11:30
Meeting Place(만나는 장소) : In front of Ticket Office to the Hanggung (Temporary Palace). 행궁 매표소 앞
Preparations(준비물) : glove, plastic bag, etc (장갑, 쓰레기 봉투 등)
Purpose : Will walking around the fortress wall and collecting trashes and clean the area.
The property managers of the fortress are aware of this CITO event.
Toward the end of the CITO we will consolidate all the trash and place them in official city garbage bags in compliance with city regulations.
Namhansanseoung, an ancient mountain fortress in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province, has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site, at the 38th meeting of the UNESCO's World Heritage Committee. It became 11th UNESCO Heritage site in South Korea.
Namhansanseong was designed as an emergency capital for the Joson Dynasty (1392-1910) , in a mountainous site 25 kilometres south-east of Seoul. Its earliest remains date from the 7th century, but it was rebuilt several times, notably in the early 17th century in anticipation of an attack from the Qing dynasty.
Many local people and visitors from Seoul enjoys the Fortress. Following the wall leads many traditional buildings including command post, Seojangdae (西將台).

남한산성이 UNESCO 세계문화유산으로 지정되었습니다. 이로써 남한산성은 우리나라에서 11번째로 지정된 세계문화유산이 되었습니다.
남한산성은 서울 남동쪽 25km 정도 떨어진 남한산과 청량산을 중심으로 하는 산성입니다. 남한산성은 수도 한양을 지키기위한 군사적 성격의 산성으로 조선시대에는 임시 수도로 기능하도록 설계되었습니다. 원래 7세기 경부터 일부 산성이 있었다고 하며, 여러번 개축이 되었는데, 특히 17세기 청나라의 공격을 대비하여 본격적으로 정비되었습니다.

Take Subway No 8, get off at Sanseong Station and take Bus No 52, 9 or 9-1. (9-1 is available only in weekend)
