Wetheral Brownies celebrated the end of the summer term 2014 with an evening of fun at Hayton, followed by a sleep-over at the school. 2014 has been quite a year so far as the Brownies celebrate 100 years of their section of Guiding. The Wetheral Brownies went on a terrific adventure to Ireland to mark the occasion and filled the rest of the year with science investigations, pond dipping, ice skating, handling birds of prey, badges, crafts, geocaching, raising funds for other charities, going to the panto and most of all…having lots of FUN!
As part of the evening, the Brownies took part in their own private geo-trail of 6 caches . We have decided to make 4 of these live so that everyone else can have some fun too! ‘Everywhere we go’ is the Packs signature tune and has been sung on Buckingham Palace forecourt; in Alnwick Castle and on the Giants Causeway…as well as in Hayton village!
This is a family friendly adventure, but do keep an eye on little ones crossing the roads in the village. They are quiet but the occasional car can be a bit speedy! Avoid Muggle school drop off/pick up times…nightmare to park!
