Although the correct name for very large rocks that seem out of place in their location is "glacial erratic", I prefer the term alien rocks. This cache will take you to one such rock. Who knows where it REALLY came from? The geologists have an explanation but it is boring. I think it was dropped here by alien forces who wanted a place to hide while they spied on us. Small children can even put their ear up to the rock and listen for alien voices coming from inside the rock! This tradition has been carefully handed down from my oldest grandchild to the younger ones, with more to come. They will even enjoy playing King of the Castle if a grownup will lift them up onto the top.
There are several other caches close by so enjoy the walk. Signal can be a bit jumpy in the woods so be patient. There are a few items suitable for small children to trade, and there is a loonie for the FTF.
