This cache is located on the Llyn Coast Path just south west of Aberdaron. It is possible to find this, and the other caches in the series on a circular walk of approximately 8 miles starting from the National Trust, Porth y Swnt Interpretation Centre in Aberdaron. Care should be taken on the path, which has a steep drop to one side, but offers stunning views across Cardigan Bay.
At the bottom of the cliffs are the remains of a stone jetty which was created in 1907 as part of a new Blue Granite quarry. In 1920 another quarry on top of the cliff was opened at Craig Cwlwm. A steam crane was used to lower the stones and ladders were the only way for the 45 workers to reach the new harbour built at the base of the steep cliffs. But the market for granite collapsed in the 1920’s and the Company went into liquidation leaving the whole project unfinished. A few fields away are the derelict terraced houses of Rhos Bodermyd Isaf which are reminders of the unfinished enterprise.

Ar waelod yr allt mae olion glanfa a godwyd ar gyfer allforio’r sets a gloddiwyd o’r chwarel oedd yn yr allt rhwng 1907 a 1938. Cai 45 o chwarelwyr eu cyflogi yma ond gan ei bod mewn man anhwylus iawn roedd rhaid iddynt ddefnyddio ysgolion i fynd i lawr iddi.
Chwarel drafferthus oedd hi a byddai llawer o waith cynnal a chadw ar y lanfa. Cai tywod a graean ei olchi i’r lan a rhaid byddai clirio'r rheini’n aml cyn y gallai longau ddod at y lanfa. Roedd yma gynlluniau uchelgeisiol iawn a bwriadwyd codi tai, capel a siop. Ni chafodd hyn ei wireddu a daeth y cloddio i ben ym mlynyddoedd y dirwasgiad. Gwelir olion adeiladau ar eu hanner ar ochr y ffordd ar Ros Bodermyd Isaf.
