Cache In Trash Out!
CITO stands for "Cache In Trash Out." At CITO events, geocachers gather to pick up trash in a certain area and bag it for removal. It's one way that geocachers give back to the community.
Everyone who attends a CITO event during the month of August will receive the Nature Lover souvenir, which is one of the Seven Souvenirs of August.

Time and Place
We'll gather at Valley Park on August 2 between 11:00 and 11:20 to sign in, take a group picture, and plan our strategy. After that we'll split into groups to cover more ground.

There is plenty of convenient street parking nearby. The park isn't very big so we'll get done with the cleanup quickly. It's likely that people will linger to visit afterward.
What to Bring
Trash bags will be provided. You are not required to bring anything, but you may enjoy the event more if you bring some of these things:
- Work gloves or latex gloves
- Sunscreen
- Bug spray
- A bottle of water
- Your camera
What You Get
Great reasons to participate in this event:
- Meet up with other geocachers to socialize, swap trackables, and so on
- Give back to the community by helping to clean up a public park
- Everyone who attends gets to log a find in the CITO event category on the website
- Everyone who attends gets the Nature Lover souvenir on the geocaching website
- Pick up some geocaches in the area if you don't already have them
We look forward to seeing you!
