Kakuro puzzles are like a crossword with numbers. Each square contains a digit between 1 and 9. A row or column of digits between grey squares is referred to as a word. The same digit will never repeat within a word. If you add up the digits in a word, the sum will be the number shown in the clue. Clues are shown on the left and right sides of "across" words, and on the top and bottom sides of "down" words.

Krypto Kakuro are different, in that each digit from 0-9 has been replaced by a letter from A to J. You have to determine the mapping from letters to numbers before you can solve the numeric problem. The big letters in the puzzle are clue letters
