Beat the Heat - Lollipop Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Nighthawk700: I was going to post tomorrow (as I said in my last note, I was going to evaluate at the end of August). However, the reviewers are eager for an update. Connecticut just opened up to residents of Maryland again without a 14 day quarantine. Yay! However, my wife and kids start school this week. With orientation, the SATs, and other before school activities, we won't be able to get away for a visit to my folks (the land owner where this cache is located). Unfortunately, it looks like Thanksgiving might be the earliest we'd be able to get up there (assuming things don't take another turn for the worse, G-d forbid). Thus it is with great reluctance and sadness that I am archiving this cache. Thanks to all of those who hunted and told me of their adventures. Hopefully the next time I do manage to get up to CT I can hide another cache somewhere on their property to bring people by again.

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

When it's really hot out (or cold, for that matter), you don't want to get out of your car to make the find.  This cache helps to solve that problem!

Based (e.g. copied) from a cache I found in Virginia, with permission from the placer.  This cache is placed on my parents' front lawn, with their permission.  You won't need to go anyplace not reachable from the street or sidewalk to get this cache.  In fact you (or your passenger) may not even need to get out of the car!  Please replace the cache as found, and make sure it won't fall over. My parents aren't geocachers, but they humor my obsession. My mother came with me when I visited and made a geocache find just down the road, All Saints. My parents have agreed to maintain this cache since I live in Baltimore.

In a funny coincidence, the day I arrived and put out this cache and put it up for review, my father showed me this article about geocaching in North Haven that came out (at least in the paper copy) Link to article in the North Haven Citizen
