Mitchell Pioneer Cemetery (Boone County) Traditional Cache

This cache is one of a few that we placed near cemeteries in rural Boone County. There is a small lane that goes back to this cemetery and a large, grassy area to turn around in. The cemetery itself is closed to the public and you will not have to enter the site to find the cache. This will be a tough area to access after a rainstorm or during the winter so you may wish to park by the road and walk back to the cache site.

Mitchell Cemetery, also known as Mitchell Grove Cemetery, is located in Jackson Township. Very little is written about this cemetery, though there is an individual that wrote how many of the people buried here do not have grave markers. It has been listed as a Boone County pioneer cemetery.
