The cache has been placed in a new container. The log book is in a
zip lock bag as are all the little trinkets. Please make sure the
zip lock bags are tightly sealed when you replace them in the
container. This cache sometimes is close to the water's edge
especially at times of high astronomical tides. Also, make sure it
is put securely back in its hiding place. Thanks. The cache is a
1/2 gallon rubbermaid container with white lid. This is the third
cache container at this location. The first was washed away during
a Nor'easter on October 16, 2002, and the second during the
Nor'easter on April 15, 2007.
Please avoid obvious lawns and gardens of families living in the
area. There is no reason to explore these areas although you may
have to cross some random patches of grass, go around bushes...
Please park on the paved road and travel down the gravel road on
foot only, it is a short walk.
There are 2 people watching the cache, who knows, maybe they'll
be watching you while you search for it. Look around at the
scenery. South of the cove are the Elizabeth Islands and perhaps
you'll get an opportunity to see the Martha's Vineyard Ferry.
As Jimmy Buffet sang in the live version of "Volcano" from the
THURSDAY, FRIDAY and SATURDAY CD..."Put me down on the shores of
Buzzards Bay!"
