This is a picnic event to be held on the front lawn of Upton Country Park on the outskirts of Poole. Parking coords show the free car park and the building hosting the public loos.
Take the path down the side of the loo building and bear left, following your GPS and signs for the front lawn. Distance between the loo block and the event coords is approx. 175m.
Paths are tarmac until you approach the lawn, where they become hard packed earth and then onto the lawn itself. These should be suitable for buggies and wheelchairs.
The event will be held towards the middle of the huge front lawn, under a tree to give us the option of shade if we get hot weather (here's hoping!) but obviously I can't reserve that space and we may well have to shift a bit on the day itself. By this time of day, the tea rooms will be shut, so please remember to bring your own drinks and food. I will be baking some cake to bring along to share, so please log your "will attends" so I know how much to make!!
I will be wearing a trackable name badge and will try to set up something to identify us as geocachers to help everyone find us.
If the day is wet, or the grass is too wet from rain prior to the event, I will move it to Upton Library, which is 2 minutes away by car and has free parking.
