I spend a lot of time in the Lake Almanor area with my family and this last week we decided to give Geocaching a try. The first day we went out we were hooked and with young boys, between ages 4-7, it was a huge hit! The treasure hunt is on. Melolive04 and I decided it would be fun to hide our own cache. So here is 1 of 2 hidden Geocaches. Melolive04 will post the #2.
The Lake Almanor area is one of my favorite places to be and I couldn't think of a better area to hide the cache. My brother suggested this old dirt road on the way to the Country Club and thus the name, Rob's choice. There is plenty of parking and easily accessible for all vehicles. This cache will not be available during the winter due to snow. I had my 4 year old son find the hiding spot so it should be easy, good luck. FTF: There are 3 tie dyed bandanas created by the boys with their initials on each one. The boys loved the idea of creating the 'treasure' for the geoacache!
