This WSGA event is open to all geocachers: Puget Sounders and visitors, WSGA members and non members, old-timers and newcomers, families, and single folks. So come picnic, visit friends and meet some new folks, trade caching secrets, and enjoy the good ole summertime!
Last year, we had a combined event with the roll out of the Washington State Parks Geotour at Kanaskat-Palmer State Park. We enjoyed that location so much, we are heading back to Kanaskat-Palmer State Park this year for this event. Note: A current Discovery pass OR pay a $10 day use fee will be required to get into the park.Here are the event specifics:

Events
Raffle: There will be a raffle for various items which will include cache containers, Geocaching.com items and various other cache related goodies. (if you would like to donate an item, please let us know).
Caching: There are 3 geocaches in the park, one of which is part of the Washington State Parks Geotour as well as many caches around the park.
TB/Coin Exchange: Bring your travel bugs and coins for a TB exchange. Dont forget to drop it into the event inventory and if you take one, please do not forget to log it into your own inventory.
WSGA Merchandise Sale: We will be selling some of our WSGA merchandise during this event. This will be a perfect time to grab that WSGA item you always wanted. Also if your WSGA membership has expired or you would like to join the WSGA, this will be a excellent opportunity for you to renew your membership or join the WSGA while at this event.
Additional Activity: Cachers, we have a fun surprise for you! We will keep this as a surprise, but to pique your interest we will drop a hint. Lets just say be prepared to bring your sleuthing skills to this picnic. You are going to need them!
Potluck
Food & drink: We'll have hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill (plus buns & fixin's) and cold drinks (juice, soda, water). This is a potluck, so please bring a dish to share (side dish or dessert). We'll update the menu as people respond. If you want another protein (chicken, beef, fish) or something else to drink (lemonade?), please bring it (no alcohol allowed).
Picnicking: We have the large shelter in the park, plus a huge lawn to spread out on, so bring a blanket, lawn chairs, or whatever you'd like to picnic on.
RSVP: When you respond, please let us know how many to expect and what you're bringing, and I'll post updates to the menu and activities.
Volunteers needed! We are looking for folks to help with setup, clean up and most importantly, cooking. Speaking of cooking, we need at least one large gas grill to be brought to the event. If you can assist with any of the volunteering efforts, please note that in your "will attend" post as well.
