I am a clear ammo box containing a few little things. Log and pencil are included, of course, even a pencil sharpener, and a water absorbent thingy, which you should not eat (nor take).
Also, please gently replace the rock back on top of the cache, so it doesn't float away in high waters.
And don't even think of accessing this cache from the east!
To find me, take the north spur of the Rivanna Trail. A side path leads to a pebble beach. At the south end of the beach, look 30 yards across to the rocks on the east side of the river. The water is from 4 to 7 feet deep, and flows slower as summer progresses. Its wadable for an adult, and not hard to climb out. The river bottom is littered with boulders, so water shoes are a good idea. Diving is not. Enjoy a respite in the sun, read a little, or just take in the view. A bald eagle was hanging out here on the day I was placed!
As always, cache at your own risk. Be safe and God bless.
