The Blue Midget was used as a shuttle for the crew of the Red Dwarf, it was only used in series 2 as a shuttle. When Kryten arrived, a bigger shuttle was needed so the Starbug was used. The Blue midget only appeared in two episodes of Series 3 and then did not show up at all again until Series 8.
The cache is a clip n lock container with a log book and pencil.
Onward route
After leaving #8 Kristine Kochanski, retrace the route back up the driveway but take the road round to the left. The public right of way will take you across the front lawn of the houses so don't worry, you are not trespassing! The way is defined by some stepping stones in the lawn and a yellow footpath sign. Continue up and slightly to the left over another wooden stile to #9 Starbug.
