It is that time again, Geocaching meets The Amazing Race.
Set up your team, grab your team costumes, put on some crazy hats or even just the same coloured clothing and start your race off with a nice time bonus.
Your Race Coordinators this year are Team Jantoshy, Team R n B and Team Jacqui&Steve.
Race Start is 10am - Event End time will be 2pm.
The Geozing Race is going to take you to various locations around Mount Gambier, at some of these locations you may have challenges to do, Geozing boxes to find or games to play. You will need petrol in your Geo-mobiles, a few gold coins in your pockets, a pen/pencil and notepad, a video/camera and ofcourse your GPS.
Due to some of the activities along the way, we would recommend teams of 2 or more for this years Race, last year a few teams joined up for the day and created a Race name for themselves, this would be a great idea for those Teams of 1 or for those that want to Race with their Geo Buddies
Anyone is welcome to Attend this Event, there will be Race Coordinators at the listed Coordinates from Start of event till the end of Event. If you would like to come say hi you are very welcome to, if you take part in the race or not we can guarantee you will still have some fun.
Race start time will be 10am on the dot!! please try to get here a little earlier for registration and picking up your lucky envelopes if you are entering this years Race, Race coordinators will be ready for you from 9:45am on wards.
We will end the Race with a BYO BBQ or Picnic lunch, during lunch we will announce some winners. We expect all this to be about 3 hours, though some will finish quicker than others. Race coordinators will be around a little longer for clean up, Geocachers are welcome to stay longer for a chat and/or to help.
This is a Fun, Family Friendly event, we ask that in attending you obey all traffic rules and if there is anything you feel is dangerous or you feel uncomfortable doing then dont do it.
We use the term Race carefully, with the bonuses and penalties along your journey just because you cross the finish line first does not mean you take home the trophy, this year it will be more about what you do and what you find along the Race Route. So please take your time and enjoy the fun along the way.
