!!PLEASE!! pull INTO the messalonskee trail parking lot to park. OPD will frown on you parking on rt 137- you will probably be ticketed.

after you park, it's a quick walk around the fence; it is not a typical rail hide.... and then a few miles down the trail and back for the rest of the series!
