Geocaching has announced their new summer mission for 2014. It's not another "31 Days of August" like in 2013, but instead "7 Souvenirs of August." During the month of August, 2014, every geocacher can earn six new Geocaching souvenirs by finding specific types of geocaches. Only by finding all six souvenirs will you unlock the special seventh Achiever souvenir. For more info, see the "Related Web Page" link at the top.
Most will easily earn the Explorer (traditional), Sightseer (multi), and Puzzler (mystery). There will be a little more difficulty for the Collector (virtual, whereigo, letterbox or webcam) and Nature Lover (Earthcache or CITO), but both will quickly be earned by many. However, the Socializer can only be earned by attending an event.
For all who are trying to collect all seven souvenirs, here's at least one event for you to attend.
Remember, you have to visit your Trophy Case before August ends after earning the first six souvenirs in order to receive the Achiever.
