I am placing caches close to all my grandchilden's homes so that they can look after them and become better cachers. All come from active caching families - indeed they introduced me to caching, little knowing how much I would do. Joseph's Cache is placed on the old railway embankment not far from where the station in Olney stood. The lines and the trains are long gone which is a sadness for those who loved steam power and the smell of coal fires. Parking can be found easily nearby, and you just follow the path which probably predates the railway, over the railway embankment. It is well used by dog walkers, but is not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs or anything other than Shank's Pony. One does need to keep an eye out for muggles as the GZ is hidden from view in both directions and muggles might suddenly appear, only to find you lying in the pathway!!. While in the area, look into the fields beyond; these were part of medieval Olney's field system, and show the typical Ridge & Furrow of the region.
